Landon oversees the restaurant’s staffing human resources and manages the wine program. Landon has carefully crafted the booze enumerate to reflect the abundance of quality Northwest wines as well as selections from around the globe which highlight her thorough knowledge of the industry. Her cellar includes an list of nearly 1,500 bottles with over 450 selections from eight countries and 40 regions. The booze list is updated twice per month. In addition to discussing the wines of the world with those in the industry and knowledgeable patrons. Landon has a passion for educating beginners on the basics of enjoying wine. This is reflected in her wine enumerate of nearly 20 glass pours and 45 half bottles to encourage experimentation and education. Hosting tastings and booze maker dinners also allows her more opportunity to teach guests about wine. In 1999 a 23 year old Landon began her pursuit of becoming a sommelier as the assistant booze steward at the Timberline dwell. After spending three years learning both the restaurant and booze industry she moved on to the Dundee Bistro where she spent four years working for the Ponzi booze family managing their restaurant and maintaining the wine program. During this measure in wine country Landon also became involved with the International Pinot Noir Celebration where she works as a Maitre d’ Hotel and currently is a member of the come in of Directors. Landon then took the step to manage a major booze program when she served as manager and sommelier at Heathman Restaurant and Bar where she was also responsible for managing the dining room as well as educating restaurant and hotel cater on wine and function. While obtaining hands-on experience in both the wine and restaurant industry. Landon continued her education by completing the “Innovative Restaurant Wine schedule” categorise at the Culinary initiate of America in 2002 receiving sensory analysis training from Vinquiry in Napa Valley. Calif. and finally receiving her Sommelier Diploma from both the International Sommelier Guild in 2005 and the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2006.
