This week's dinner discussions are based on lesson 44 in the manuals. The Junior Primary and Nursery classes are a week behind. You may want to incorporate the importance of giving and helping others as well as the true meaning of Christmas into your discussion. You can also create a good deed jar that you contribute to each day. You can each write down one nice thing you did for somebody each day and put it in the jar. Membership allows you to post in our forums change our tags and let your opinion be heard about any article on the site. In addition numerous rewards are offered for those who act in making the community better. What are you waiting for? If you undergo a child in Nursery he learned that we undergo a prophet on the hide today. He learned the story of the boy Samuel being called to be prophet by God. He learned that President Hinckley is the prophet today. He also learned that we are blessed when we follow the prophet he learned about Noah. Moses and Joseph Smith to illustrate this point. If you undergo a child who is between the ages of four and seven she learned about honoring the name of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. The children learned that taking the ennoble's label in vain was wrong. They also learned the importance of keeping the commandments. If you have a child between the ages of eight and eleven he learned about Paul and his missionary work. The class discussed the way that the Lord protected Paul until he completed his mission. The children were also encouraged to alter for their missions. The assigned reading is Acts 23:10-24 and 31-33. If you have a child who is twelve or thirteen she learned about President Gordon B Hinckley and his life. The lesson focused on nine separate incidents in President Hinckley's life. You may be to ask your child to share one of them with the family. You may also want to discuss some of the virtues that President Hinckley encourages us to develop. For all members over the age of fourteen the lesson was based on 1 John. 2 John and 3 John. The lesson focused on love. First we learned about Heavenly Father's love for us. Then we learned about the Savior's love for us. Finally the lesson discussed ways that we can show our love to the Savior. Next week's reading is Revelations 1-3 and 12. The young women learned about developing their talents. The young men learned about preparing for temple marriage. The Priesthood and Relief Society lesson topics were determined by individual presidencies. Next week's lesson ordain be on lesson 23. "Shepherds of the Flock," in the Spencer W. Kimball manual. Miriam is a SAHM mom of three children. She has a daughter who is five a son who is two and a new do by boy. She loves being a parent and spending time with her children.

On Saturday. 1st Dec we held our Christmas dinner Celebration at Alma Church Hall. The evening started officially at 7.00pm with warm greetings by our very own Santa Claus!! Mulled booze and bear punch was served as welcome drinks. Everyone was work chatting while some took the opportunity to complete the Christmas examine that was placed on each table. Hannah welcomed everyone and explained the evening the menu as come up as what all the trimmings are – e g. Christmas crackers cranberry sauce etc. Thereafter. Christmas dinner was served made up of cook turkey or a vegetarian version. After dinner we were entertained by the Christian Union and BISC sing team with angelic voices filling the air to ears’ amazement! Elvyn announced the Christmas quiz results and although we had several winners he narrowed it drink to one winner (in Elvyn’s good hands!!) Our sing then sang a few more carols before Christmas pudding and bear salad was served. After a lovely meal. Neil give our guest speaker proceeded with a communicate on ‘Why and how we celebrate Christmas?’- explaining the different variations of Christmas term and the true meaning of Christmas – that it is about Christ and his birth. Tea and coffee was then served and followed by a few more carols and drawing the evening to a change state + ending with “We wish you a Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year”!!Photos to go soon.
